Training of trainers

After the staff training from Reading the 14 participants organized in their countries one or two ToTs gathering about 20 participants/organization.

The ToTs took place between November 2022 – February 2023.

Each partner chose proper ways for developing this activity – for example Real Time developed the whole training online, with all 20 participants, Pro Xpert had two in attendance activities for smaller groups (12 and 9 participants), N-Key and Mad for Europe had a mixture of in attendance and online activities etc.

Finally we had 143 professionals in adults’ education – trainers and other persons directly working with senior artisans. Below there are some quantitative data about the whole group.

So the dominant age range is 46-50 years old.

All participants have at least one experience in a non formal educational activity for seniors and one in cultural/crafts sector (this was a compulsory condition for participating in the project). We notice that the experience with seniors is less than in cultural/crafts sector. The dominant group in first case consists in 51 persons having between 5-10 previous experiences with seniors but there are 43 persons with less than 5 experiences and only 10 persons with more than 20 experiences.

This is very important to mention because almost all participants, in all countries, mentioned that the participation in the project increased their availability and motivation in working with seniors.

In the second case the dominant group consists in 52 persons having between 5-10 previous experiences cultural/crafts sector but the number of persons with less than 5 experiences is much smaller – 29 and those with more than 20 experiences are 23. This is also an important fact as all participants agreed that their previous experiences in cultural/crafts sector was very useful and helpful in the training process and then, in the local activities for senior artisans.
